Yulia Arakelyan (Portland), Kathryn Hightower (Seattle), and Kimberly
Kaplan (NYC) met while Dance Majors at the University of Washington. The three budding artists had early success with their first dance projects together, and couldn’t bear to part when two graduated and moved to new cities. For the past three years, they have collaborated via videos, emails, blogs, and late
night phone calls, to create dance that explores “barriers” in all their forms.
I am watching my internal state. I am watching how I feel in relation to my thoughts. I am thinking about work and my relationship to it. My emotional range encompassed feeling open, curious, vulnerable, scared, shy, coy, angry, distraught, steady, clear, powerful.

This is intriguing! What are you watching? How does it make you feel? Everything is just slightly off-screen.
Your eyes are very expressive, especially your eyebrows and the space between them. I always remember that feature of yours.
I am feeling so happy, too, that you are working more on editing. The cuts and audio add another creative dimension to your work.

Yes, you have very expressive, strong eyes. I sense in your eyes a bit of a hesitation, fear, confidence, curiosity....
