Yulia Arakelyan (Portland), Kathryn Hightower (Seattle), and Kimberly
Kaplan (NYC) met while Dance Majors at the University of Washington. The three budding artists had early success with their first dance projects together, and couldn’t bear to part when two graduated and moved to new cities. For the past three years, they have collaborated via videos, emails, blogs, and late
night phone calls, to create dance that explores “barriers” in all their forms.
Sometimes I wonder how I'll ever manage to film a dance in a day. So I decided to make my moves while I was making moves...dancing in the car. Enjoy.

The camera angle was perfectly able to create some tension. I like the juxtaposition of the moving background images and you as the fixed point in the car. There was a feeling of excitement and humor. Very clever and time efficient piece!
